Care and Maintenance
The preliminary operations to be carried out relate to planting, and for this it is necessary to prepare the right soil, adding, for example, organic fertiliser. In the case of lime-rich soil, it will be useful to add peat or sand. After preparing the soil, a hole at least 50 centimetres deep can be made and the organic fertiliser deposited in it. The planting can then be completed without putting the roots in direct contact with the fertiliser. Once this is done, you can irrigate, allowing the water to be absorbed. For this type of plant, planting is recommended between October and June. When caring for and maintaining climbing roses, it is useful to develop drip watering (so as not to get the flowers too wet) and preferably in the morning. It is important not to overdo the doses when watering to prevent mould or fungus, which is harmful to the plant. Pruning should be carried out at the end of summer, removing old branches and keeping the year's branches.
