La pianta di Bougainvillea “Harlequin” rosa è un arbusto rampicante originario delle zone tropicali e subtropicali dell’America meridionale. Sarmentosa sempreverde in grado di raggiungere diversi metri di lunghezza, con foglie alternate di forma ellittica-allungata e di colore verde scuro. Sviluppa piccoli fiori di colore bianco, che sbocciano dall’estate all’autunno, raccolti in grappoli e circondati da 3 brattee molto ornamentali, di colore rosso borgogna.

They form umbrella-shaped clusters of 15-20 long-lasting small flowers (they can last all summer). They vary in colour from pink to yellow and are often very fragrant and rich in nectar.
