Pianta di origine orientale è un ibrido fra il kumquat e il limone o lime. I frutti sono simili a quelli del kumquat lievemente più ovali, di colore giallo. Il sapore è simile a quello del lime, ottimo per i cocktail,con tantissimo succo e poca buccia. La varietà si presenta più resistente alle basse temperature rispetto ai consueti limoni. La pianta è un arbusto piuttosto piccolo con fogliame simile ma più stretto rispetto al comune limone. Predilige temperature di coltivazione miti. Richiede un’irrigazione regolare ma non eccessiva. Il terreno ideale deve essere ben drenato.
