A plant of Eastern origin, it is a hybrid between the kumquat and the lemon or lime. The fruits are similar to kumquats, slightly more oval, and yellow in colour. The flavour is similar to lime, excellent for cocktails, with plenty of juice and thin peel. This variety is more resistant to low temperatures than usual lemons. The plant is a rather small shrub with foliage similar but narrower than that of a common lemon. It prefers mild cultivation temperatures. It requires regular but not excessive watering. The ideal soil must be well-drained.
