Il Ligustrum Texanum è una siepe sempreverde, folto e dal portamento allargato. Presenta leaves ovali, coriacee, ondulate e di colore verde brillante. Fiorisce in estate, Flowerssono bianchi e profumati; i frutti sono piccole bacche nere. Non ha particolari esigenze, è indicato per realizzare siepi libere o potate, che richiedono scarsa irrigazione,in piccoli gruppi o addirittura in vaso. Ha un accrescimento medio-veloce, non ha esigenze di terreno particolari e ha una buona resistenza al freddo.
Si consiglia di piantumarle una ogni 70 cm per avere una siepe compatta e folta
