Evergreen shrub, up to 2 m high and up to 1.2 m wide, with medium growth; thorny branches; small, ovoid leaves; small flowers in corymbal inflorescences, fragrant, creamy white, in April-May; yellow, orange or red fruits (berries) from September to February.
