L’Escallonia sono arbusti sempreverdi,ottimi per il clima italiano, dal portamento compatto, con fogliame lucido e fioritura abbondante. L’escallonia è perfetta per chi desidera una bella siepe, con fioriture prolungate di color rosso brillante.Questi arbusti prediligono posizioni soleggiate. Una potatura regolare aiuta a mantenere la siepe più ordinata e favorisce lo sviluppo di arbusti più densi e fitti. Le annaffiature si forniscono solo quando il terreno è ben asciutto, in quanto queste piante non amano gli eccessi di annaffiature, e sopportano abbastanza bene la siccità.
Si adatta bene da nord a sud Italia, eccetto che in zone montane.

The plant of Alocasia (Elephant Ears) is an evergreen house plant native to tropical areas.
