La pianta di Bougainvillea x buttiana “Lady Mary Baring” è un arbusto rampicante originario delle zone tropicali e subtropicali dell’America meridionale. Sarmentosa sempreverde in grado di raggiungere diversi metri di lunghezza, con foglie ovate verdi, lunghe fino a 8 cm, più chiare sulla pagina inferiore. Sviluppa grandi mazzetti di brattee fiorali molto ondulate, lunghe 3-5 cm, di colore giallo dorato e piccoli fiori bianchi, che sbocciano in estate. Può raggiungere circa 8-12 metri di lunghezza. Predilige un clima caldo e temperato, con esposizione a pieno sole e mezz’ombra. Nelle zone con possibilità di gelate coltivarla in serra temperata, se acquistate a temperature inferiori a 15 gradi di minima,le vendiamo scarne di foglie
