It has a dense, caespitose habit with an aerial apparatus of lance-shaped, leathery, waxy, bright green leaves. The plant flowers from early spring until early autumn while it goes into vegetative rest in winter. Its flowers sprout on long stems and resemble daisies in colours ranging from pink to white, yellow to red or purple. The African daisy reaches a height of about 30 cm. and its flowers open in the sun and close again at dusk. Its size and appearance may vary depending on the season and time of year in which it is purchased.

The plant of Alocasia (Elephant Ears) is an evergreen house plant native to tropical areas. It possesses beautiful large, oval, wing-shaped leaves that can be up to 90 cm long, which when shaken by the wind resemble elephant ears, shiny light green in colour, with wavy margins. Fairly fast-growing plant, easy to keep in the house or on the veranda than the banana tree or other tropical plants, the important thing is that the temperature is above 8 degrees in winter and that it is away from cold and dry heat sources.
Nb demonstration photo, they are usually so big between May and September, otherwise slightly less tall than in the photo (100 cm)
